Description
Deciduous trees lose their green pigment known as chlorophyll, they then take on the dull to brilliant colors of yellows and reds, including orange and scarlet. Did you know that the word deciduous actually means "falling off at maturity", a dropping of a part that is no longer needed (WIKIPEDIA)? Did you ever think of your baby teeth as being deciduous teeth? Even though the season is Autumn, it is easy to understand why we often refer to it as fall.
