Description
Head Harbour Light (also referred to as East Quoddy Light), is located at the north end of Campobello Island near Lubec, Maine. At high tide this is a separate island and viewed across the water or you can see it from a whale watching, sight seeing boat. When the tide is low you can cross and go to the lighthouse itself. Attention must be given to the tides or you could be stranded for eight hours. The tides on the Bay of Fundy are the fastest and highest tides in the world. They raise twenty feet in this area and up to forty feet further north in this region.
