Thai Pavilion canvas print by Janice Adomeit. Bring your artwork to life with the texture and depth of a stretched canvas print. Your image gets printed onto one of our premium canvases and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5" x 1.5" stretcher bars (gallery wrap) or 5/8" x 5/8" stretcher bars (museum wrap). Your canvas print will be delivered to you "ready to hang" with pre-attached hanging wire, mounting hooks, and nails.

THAI PAVILION
The pavilion, or sala, is a shelter from rain and heat. This pavilion resembles the ones that would be on a palace ground or a temple, not those that would be along the roadsides in Thailand. The Thai Pavilion in Olbrich Gardens was a gift to the UW- Madison from the Thai Government and the Thai Chapter of Wisconsin Alumni Association. The pavilion was built in Thailand and then was disassembled for shipment. It traveled by sea, rail and truck and took about 2 months to arrive to Madison where it was reassembled by nine Thai artisans, another three week process. The pavilion has no nails or screws and is made of teak and weather-resistant ceramic roof tiles. Made to withstand the cold Wisconsin winters. Even though rescenlant to winter, it is fragile. The gold leaf that covers the pavilion is very sensitive to human oils. ADMIRE, BUT DO NOT TOUCH. The pavilion was approved by the Thai Royal family and bears the seal of the Thai Crown.
